The author, Maurizio Tabucchi, has been involved for many years in the restoration of historical vehicles with a particular interest in vintage cars, Maurizio Tabucchi is consultant at ASI (Italian Vintage Automobile Association) and at RIAR (Alfa Romeo Italian Register). In 2002 he has also been appointed as President of the Technical Commission of the F.I.V.A. He works as a consultant for the major specialized Italian magazines.
