In this video, I want to share an exciting experience I had recently. I decided to revisit my childhood passion for RC car racing. When I was a kid, my parents got me a Team Associated RC10 Gold Pan, which sparked my love for cars. I used to tinker with and race these cars, and it's what initially fueled my interest in automobiles.
To relive those memories, I took my Traxxas Slash 4x4 to the track for some fun racing in the novice group. I want to give a shoutout to Zoo City Raceway in Asheboro, North Carolina, for maintaining a great facility. And I can't forget to mention Anderson Hobby in Thomasville, my local hobby shop that supports my RC racing adventures.
In this video, you'll see me setting up my pit stall, working on my car, hitting the track, and even my parents showing up to cheer me on. It was like going back in time, spending quality time with my family, just as I did when I was a kid. It was a special weekend, especially because it coincided with Mother's Day.
But there's more to this than just reliving my childhood hobby. I have a bigger goal in mind. I'm actually considering starting a real race team and getting into endurance racing, specifically the Champ Car Racing Endurance Series. It's an exciting prospect, and getting back into RC car racing is a way for me to prepare for that endeavor. It's like a microcosm of the bigger racing world.
Throughout the video, I'll take you behind the scenes, showing you my car setup, the track, and all the action.
